Effective Coaching and Feedback
Description
Coaching can enhance employee learning ability and performance, which in turn helps improve the workforce of a company. When leader-managers coach effectively, they also build trusting relationships with their team, increase accountability and self-motivation. This workshop uses a coaching approach based on the Inner Game Principles espoused by Timothy Gallwey, an early thought leader in the field of performance coaching. It will show participants how to use the Inner Game Principles as a conceptual guide and GROW as a coaching process to effectively help a coachee overcome self-imposed obstacles that prevent people from improving their performance and accessing their full potential.
Giving effective feedback that help others develop is an important skill for managing relationships both at work and in our personal lives. However, we when try to give feedback, it either comes across as vague or judgmental. This often draws a defensive response from the recipient and hence, no learning or change takes place. The SBI Feedback Methodology is a tool created by the Centre for Creative Leadership that helps you deliver effective feedback.
Together, the skills of coaching and giving effective feedback will help leader-managers to create a climate and culture that supports openness, learning and growth in an organization. The training content will contain foundational theories, methods and tools for coaching and feedback. A combination of learning methodologies will also be used. These include, short presentations, videos, role play, experiential learning and group work.

- Use the Inner Game Principles to create a conducive coaching environment.
- Apply the GROW process to coach others.
