Advanced Systems Thinking
Description
This is an advanced progamme builds on the Primer to Systems Thinking module. It will equip participants with additional perspectives and tools to better understand system complexity and to formulate more effective strategies for problem solving and managing change.
They will be able to apply systems thinking tools to recognize and deal with common structures known as System Archetypes, which produce complex dynamics in organisations and our daily lives.
Participants will also learn how to create ‘Theories of Success’ using Key Success Loops as a methodology for creating long-lasting success for any initiative.
A combination of learning methodologies will also be used. These include, short presentations, videos, interactive learning activities, experiential learning and group practices.
Outcomes
- Construct Causal Loop Diagrams (CLDS) to represent systemic structures.
- Use Key Success Loops (KSLs) to formulate Theories of Success.
- Use Systems Archetypes as a diagnostic and prognostic tool for problem solving and system improvement.
