The Power of Generative Conversations
Description
Conversation is a core business process. It can change our beliefs, perceptions, and actions. When we converse skilfully, we can help each other expand our thinking, act more compassionately and wisely, and learn more deeply. According to Peter Senge, the author of the ‘The Art and Practice of the Learning Organisation’, the ability to think and work collaboratively with each other is one of the hallmarks of a learning organization.
The learning discipline of mental model is focused around developing awareness of the attitudes and perceptions that influence thought and interaction. Team learning transforms a group’s collective thinking, teaching a group to mobilise their energies and abilities to create shared meaning and new insights.
The training content will contain essential theories, methods and tools to create structures for generative conversations. A combination of learning methodologies will also be used. These include, short presentations, videos, interactive learning activities, experiential learning, individual reflection and group dialogue.
